FEATHER SHOT: when the cue ball hardly touches the object ball on a shot

FERRULE: the piece of material on the end of the shaft attached to the cue tip

FOLLOW SHOT: when the cue ball is struck above center in order to cause it to roll forward after it has contacted an object ball

FOLLOW THROUGH: the travel of the cue after it has contacted the cue ball throughout the area that was taken by the cue ball before

FOOT OF TABLE: the end of the billiard table where the balls are placed in the beginning of each billiard game

FOOT SPOT: the point on the foot end of the table between the center diamonds of the short rails and the second diamonds of the long rails are overlapping

FOOT STRING: line on the foot end of the table that passes through the foot spot where the second diamonds of the long rails

FORCE: the power used to strike the cue ball in order to change its natural angles and movement

FORCE DRAW: an extreme follow shot usually aimed straight at an object ball

FORCE FOLLOW: a follow shot in which an extreme overspin is applied on the cue ball

FOUL: the breaking of the play rules according to the definition of a foul

FOUL STROKE: when a stroke includes a foul

FROZEN: when a ball touches a cushion or another ball

FULL BALL: when the cue ball contacts an object ball at a contact point on a line that crosses the centers of the cue ball and object ball
